Politics must remain the most strongest weapon to bind all Nigerians together irrespective of our ethnicity and religion.

Disciples of Jagaban, national coordinator Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje made this appreciation Openly available in the meeting that took place in Kaduna on 03 December 2023, Sunday morning at NAF club Kaduna.

Alawuje rightly maintained this during the campaign in 2020 in a publication titled, ” 2023 The Northerners will never betray Tinubu”. This was a time when Tinubu had not even declared his presidential ambition, and it has come and passed.

Nigerians will continue appreciating The Arewa consultative forum together with all Northern political leaders for the 2023 victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Arewa stood with Tinubu, they followed him just like the way the head follows the neck.

We also appreciate all individuals from other ethnicities and Religions who stood with us before, during and after the general elections. They all did that for the better future of this country with all intents to inculcate the spirit of love, unity and harmony amongst Nigeria and Nigerians.

Alawuje urges other ethnic groups who believed only in sentimental approaches
in Nigeria to stop it because they will never have good results at the end of it. As a retired military personnel, I too much believe in one Nigeria because that is what we spent all our service time to build, and I too much dislike those who brought in discrimination in politics while seeking unity in religion and ethnicity because I saw them like they are out to destroy our all our previous work.

Ethnicity is a universal truth and fact that no one can manipulate. A Hausa man will forever remain an Hausa man. An Igbo will remain Igbo and Yoruba will never change to become Hausa or Igbo likewise others.

We have many aspects that bind Nigerians together. What binds us together is more than what divides us as a people. Whoever is trying to disconnect this country’s togetherness is an enemy of this nation, Alawuje insisted.

For those who believed Nigerians have designed political scripts to stop them from ruling this country, It’s not true at all. They should rather redeem themselves and make themselves worthy of the position by genuinely aligning with other ethnic and religious groups across the country because no one ethnic or religion can survive without others.

That is the political secret I am having for all Nigerians.

Nigeria belongs to all of us. Unity, love and harmony are seriously needed among us irrespective of wherever we come from.

Failure to do this, they will never succeed in leadership.

Some of us appreciate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for leading Yoruba sons and daughters out of the section and regional political system and leading us to national politics in 2013,14 and 15. Some of us started following him and developed more love for him, seeing this laudable gesture from him. In fact, that was one of what gave birth to the popular support group today called Disciples of Jagaban.

We have many retired military generals and senior retired military personnel behind it.

As military officers, we have come across the entire world with one assignment or another. We know the benefits of togetherness and the importance of it. But we didn’t have the political strength and the ability to perfect it, until we saw a technocrat who eventually became a political leader in West Africa in Nigeria, the Jagaban in the Arewa and Asiwaju in Yoruba land Ahmed Bola Tinubu who decided to lead the struggle, with his experience, capacity and capability, We were left with no any choice than to follow him.

By keep saying this bitter truth, we believe it will continue reducing the mentality of ethnic and religious sentiments in our political system.

We insist. Tinubu is not perfect. But he needed that unity to successfully win the major factor that defeated our progress in the past. Alawuje said.
