A PRIVATE SCHOOL PUPIL ABDUCTED ON HER WAY BACK FROM SCHOOL IN OKON EKET

Pandemonium broke out yesterday in two neighbouring villages of Ikot Ataku and Ikot Akpandem, all in Okon Eket clan when news filtered that a little girl was abducted around 1 pm on her way back from school.

The four year old girl, Abasiofon Josiah Michael, a nursery one pupil of Mustard Seed International, Ikot Akpandem was abducted by two men on motor cycle at Ikot Ataku as she was going home from school, in company of her neighbour and school mate, Regina Udo Udo Eshiet.

According to the other small girl Regina, the alleged two kidnappers just pounced on Abasiofon ( meaning God is good ) , carried her and zoomed off speedily on Okada to her amazement. Regina now started crying and raised alarm that her neighbour cum school mate had been captured by unknown men but all to no avail.

All efforts to locate the whereabout of the captors and captive have so far proved abortive as at the time of going to the press , though security agencies have swung into action and are on top of the situation.

The distraught mother of the victim was seen wailing and weeping uncontrollably and refused to be consoled , bemoaning our fate that has dealt a huge blow on her.

According to the mother, Abasiofon is a very intelligent and enterprising young girl that is God sent to the family.
