Breaking: Rivers Assembly Issues Governor Fubara, Deputy with Misconduct Notice
The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued a notice of alleged gross misconduct against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
The lawmakers stated that their action aligns with the Nigerian Constitution.
“In accordance with Section 188 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and other relevant laws, we, the undersigned members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, hereby submit a Notice of Gross Misconduct against the Deputy Governor of Rivers State in the execution of her duties,” the notice read.
While the assembly had previously denied any impeachment plans, speculation continues to grow over a potential move to unseat the governor.
