Cycling Kano 2025: Organisers Launch Online Registration Ahead of December Event
*Pedalling Toward Health, Unity, and Adventure
Northern Nigeria is gearing up for a thrilling celebration of fitness, tourism, and community spirit as preparations intensify for Cycling Kano 2025 — an event fast becoming the heartbeat of Nigeria’s cycling culture.
Slated for Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the vibrant city of Kano, the annual event promises a perfect blend of competition, recreation, and cultural experience. This year’s edition, themed “Health and Wellness,” aims to inspire Nigerians to embrace cycling not only as a sport but as a lifestyle that promotes wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
Organised by the Kano State Government in partnership with BrandEscort Communications, Cycling Kano 2025 is expected to draw participants from across Nigeria and other parts of Africa — from professional cyclists and fitness enthusiasts to everyday riders seeking fun and adventure.

Speaking about the launch, Bamidele Adeleye, Managing Director of BrandEscort Communications, described the registration phase as a defining moment in the journey toward what he called “the biggest cycling event Northern Nigeria has ever seen.”
“Cycling Kano is more than just a race — it’s a movement. It’s about inspiring healthy living, promoting tourism, and fostering unity through the shared joy of cycling,” Adeleye said enthusiastically.
This year’s event will feature multiple race categories, including professional, amateur, children’s, and community fun rides, giving everyone — regardless of age or skill — a chance to participate. Attractive prizes, medals, and recognition await outstanding performers, but beyond the trophies, the organisers say the real reward is the experience itself.
Sani Musa Danj, Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Youth and Sports Development, assured participants that adequate security, logistics, and medical arrangements are in place. He noted that the state government, in collaboration with relevant agencies, is committed to ensuring a smooth and safe event.
“Cycling Kano represents the spirit of togetherness and progress that Kano is known for. It’s about building a healthier, more active generation while showcasing the beauty and hospitality of our state,” Danj added.
Cycling Kano is part of the broader Cycling Nigeria Initiative, a national project that promotes cycling as a sustainable means of transportation, a tool for community development, and a pathway to a healthier lifestyle.
As December draws near, the excitement is already building. Streets will soon buzz with the rhythm of spinning wheels, cheers from the crowd, and the vibrant energy of participants united by one passion — cycling.
