Fouani company boss and four others abducted in Lagos regain their freedom
The Managing Director of Fouani Company who was abducted alongside with two other Lebanese nationals and two Nigerians have regained their freedom.
They were dropped off last night June 17 at about 11pm by their abductors in a riverine area area in Epe. The police marine personnel picked them up and ferried them to a safe area where they were then taken to their home in Banana Island.
The businessman, his two Lebanese associates as well as the boat driver and his assistant, both Nigerian nationals, were abducted on Friday, June 14 while travelling by boat in Lagos state. They were abducted around Falomo Bridge while commuting from Apapa to Victoria Island. The kidnappers contacted their families and asked for $1.5m ransom.
Confirming this, the spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the men have been rescued.
