HEAD OF AUDIT DEPT, FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE JUMPS INTO WELL, KILLS HIMSELF
Adeniyi Oluwaseun, the Acting Head of the Audit Department at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, tragically ended his life by jumping into a well in the Obantoko area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening shortly after Adeniyi had dinner. While the exact reason for his actions remains unclear, it was reported that he had been battling mental health challenges and had previously undergone treatment.
His body was retrieved from the well and has been deposited in a morgue.
Confirming the incident on Tuesday, FMC Abeokuta’s Head of Public Relations and Communication, Segun Orisajo, described Adeniyi as a dedicated and hardworking staff member, expressing shock and sadness over his untimely death.
“It is true that he committed suicide. It was an unfortunate incident. The management feels deeply saddened about this development. It is a quiet and irreparable loss. Our heartfelt condolences go to his department and to his family members,” Orisajo stated.
