How Globacom’s Women Found Strength in Stillness at SheGlows 2025
On a calm Friday afternoon, October 31, 2025, the atrium of the Alliance Française – Mike Adenuga Centre in Lagos pulsed with a different kind of energy. There were no ringing phones, no urgent emails — just soft lights, unhurried laughter, and the quiet hum of women reconnecting with themselves.
It was the SheGlows Summit 2025, Globacom’s flagship women’s empowerment gathering, themed “Wellness for Growth.” This year’s edition invited women across the company to pause, breathe, and reflect — to rediscover that balance is not a luxury, but a necessity.
Strength Through Stillness
Three remarkable speakers led the journey inward.
Mrs. Olubunmi Aboderin Talabi, publisher and advocate for women’s leadership, challenged the audience to rethink what strength truly means. “Sometimes,” she said, “real power lies in rest, reflection, and the courage to reset.”
Bunmi George, wellness entrepreneur and founder of Shredder Gang, grounded the conversation in practice. Through stories of discipline and daily routine, she showed how self-care, when consistent, becomes an act of leadership.
And Ifeoma Williams, transformation coach and lifestyle strategist, reminded everyone that presence is power. “Authenticity,” she said, “is not something you perform — it’s who you return to when you stop trying to be everything for everyone.”
Wellness as a Growth Strategy
Beyond the keynotes, SheGlows 2025 reflected a deeper truth about Globacom’s culture: that innovation is human. The company’s quiet but intentional investment in its women — through mentorship, mental wellness, and holistic growth — has turned the SheGlows platform from an initiative into a movement.
From its first edition, SheGlows has become a network of women who learn, lead, and lift one another — across offices, cities, and digital spaces.
Moments That Lingered
For many participants, the summit was more than an event; it was a mirror.
“The event was beyond my expectations,” said Ifeyinwa Okoli, Team Lead, Customer Care. “Each speaker delivered her message beautifully, and I’ve taken so much home.”
Esther Ohiomoba from Enterprise Business added, “It touched my core. My biggest takeaway is to let my brilliance serve, not intimidate. I’d love to do this again and again.”
As the day wound down, soft music filled the hall. Conversations drifted into laughter, hugs, and quiet gratitude. Women left with notebooks full of insight — and hearts a little lighter.
Because sometimes, growth doesn’t come from pushing harder. It comes from slowing down, listening within, and glowing from the inside out. And at SheGlows 2025, that light shone brightly.
