I Can’t Be Deported,’ I’m A Canadian Citizen, Woman Threatening Yoruba and Benin People Claims
Amaka Patience Sunnberger, a Nigerian living in Canada, has rejected the possibility of arrest or deportation following calls from the Nigerian House of Representatives for her prosecution. Sunnberger, who made headlines with a viral video threatening Yoruba and Benin individuals, defended her position by emphasizing her Canadian citizenship.
In the video, Sunnberger stated, “Someone sent me a message saying I’m being arrested and deported with my passport. I’m a Canadian citizen. Look at me now, I’m at home. Why should I lie?”
Her comments surfaced on TikTok and led to widespread condemnation. The Nigerian House of Representatives has urged the Canadian government to take action, citing Sunnberger’s remarks as violations of international and Canadian laws.
