JUST-IN:Senator Kyari Emerges Acting APC National Chairman
Kyari’s emergence came after Adamu’s resignation
Kyari was elected member of the House of Representatives under the defunct United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) in 1998
The Deputy National Chairman, Senator Abubakar Kyari, (North) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged as acting National Chairman of the ruling party.
This comes after Senator Abdullahi Adamu’s resignation as the party’s national chairman.
In accordance with the party’s constitution, the deputy national chairman from the zone would take over in an acting capacity if a national chairman resigned.
Kyari led some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) into a meeting currently taking place at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja amid tight security.
