Police Disperse Protesting People With Disability Athletes in Lagos
Men of the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday tear-gassed some athletes who are living with disabilities in the Surulere area of Lagos.
The athletes in their scorers had blocked the main road near the National Stadium Surulere and were calling for the payment of some Owed allowances.

Police Command, through its spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, later explained that the officers had to use What he called “minimal force” to make them leave the road.
He stated, “A group of people were dispersed with minimal force, as prescribed by l after they refused all persuasion to leave the highway for free flow of traffic. Many Nigerians had complained of being illegally restrained in traffic. We rose to the occasion. No assault, injury or death.”
