The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Small-Scale Enterprise (SSE Lab), Adesola Jimmy-Eboma, has announced plans to host the second edition of the MBA Business Showers, a flagship celebration of entrepreneurship and small-scale manufacturing in Nigeria.
The event, themed “Innovation. Inclusion. Impact: Redefining MSMEs in the Nigerian Economy,” is scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Radisson Blu Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos. It will celebrate the Cohort 2 graduands of the Manufacturing Business Accelerator (MBA) program while deepening conversations around the evolving role of MSMEs in driving economic growth.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by Mr. Charles Odii, Director-General and CEO of SMEDAN, and Ms. Esther Obiekwe, Group Head, Retail & SME Banking at NOVA Bank.
A highlight of the event will be a fireside chat featuring top industry leaders including Dr. Bunmi Kola-Dawodu (State Manager, SMEDAN), Dr. Meksley Nwagboh (Divisional Head, Marketing & Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc), Afolabi Solebo, Esq. (General Manager, LASCOPA), Dr. Ayomide Funmilayo Olofinjana (Founder & CEO, Florence Richards Africa), and Adanna Uche (Founder & CEO, Ady’s Agro Processing Ltd.). The session will be moderated by Mrs. Adebisi Odeleye, Founder of Moore Organics.
Speaking ahead of the event, Jimmy-Eboma emphasised that this year’s edition will focus on fostering collaboration among policymakers, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs to unlock finance, strengthen quality assurance, and accelerate international competitiveness.
“Nigeria has enormous potential locked within her people,” she said. “If every state intentionally develops its local resources into finished goods—turning cassava into packaged flour, hibiscus into export tea, or shea butter into global beauty products—we can transform our economic narrative.”
She described the MBA Business Showers as a fast-rising platform spotlighting innovation and entrepreneurial excellence within Nigeria’s small-scale manufacturing sector.
The Manufacturing Business Accelerator (MBA) is a 90-day intensive transformation program designed for product-based founders and micro-manufacturers. Over three months, participants progress through a structured journey of conceptualisation, product validation, branding, packaging, regulatory compliance, and market launch—transforming raw ideas into globally competitive “Made-in-Nigeria” brands.
“Through the MBA Business Showers, we’ve seen traders, artisans, and dreamers become structured, compliant, export-ready businesses within 90 days. This is a statement of possibility,” she added.
The MBA Graduation and Business Showcase will feature market-ready brands across food processing, lifestyle, beauty, and wellness—evidence of the creative resilience powering Nigeria’s emerging manufacturing community.
“This is more than a graduation ceremony,” Jimmy-Eboma explained. “It is a celebration of a new generation of entrepreneurs who believe in Nigerian resources, Nigerian creativity, and Nigerian excellence.”
Attendees will also experience the Innovation Showcase and Market Walk, an interactive exhibition where investors, development agencies, and the media can explore new products, meet founders, and discover partnership opportunities.
At the event, SSE Lab will unveil MBA Cohort 3, tagged “The Next Frontier.” The new cycle introduces expanded mentorship, financial literacy programs, and business development opportunities for Nigerian entrepreneurs. Interested participants can register on-site via QR codes and dedicated registration booths, while mentorship and scholarship slots will be announced subsequently.
Jimmy-Eboma reaffirmed SSE Lab’s belief that small-scale manufacturers are not merely participants in Nigeria’s economy but its backbone—driving innovation, job creation, and export diversification.
The 2025 edition of the MBA Business Showers promises to be both celebratory and catalytic—a vibrant platform for dialogue, connection, and inspiration that advances what it means to build, sustain, and scale a business in Nigeria’s evolving landscape.
