Subair Named Board Chair of the Year As LIRS Emerges Top Revenue Agency
The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has reaffirmed its leadership in Nigeria’s public sector after securing major recognitions at the 2025 Peak Performer Awards held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
In a landmark moment for the agency, its Executive Chairman, Mr. Ayodele Subair, was featured on the cover of the 2025 edition of Peak Performer Magazine and also received the prestigious “Board Chair of the Year” Award. The honour celebrates his visionary leadership, strategic reforms, and consistent delivery of outstanding results that continue to redefine revenue administration in Lagos State.
Mr. Subair’s tenure has been marked by widespread digital transformation, enhanced operational efficiency, and the deployment of technology-driven tax processes—initiatives that have positioned LIRS as a model for modern revenue systems across Nigeria.
The agency itself was also recognised with the “Peak Performing Revenue Agency” Award, underscoring its commitment to transparency, continuous improvement, and innovative revenue practices that strengthen Lagos State’s economic development.
