Tinubu-Shettima Rescuing Nigeria from its Enemies; Why He Must be Supported – DOJ

It is now very obvious that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is waging a spirited battle, an uncommon war against Nigeria’s enemies. These enemies are not only deeply rooted in Nigeria, they are spread across the globe, particularly from the Western world.

So, if Tinubu is waging a frontal war against the internal enemies and neo-colonialists, it will not only be a costly mistake, it will be foolhardy of Nigerians to wage another one against him from behind. The president needs our collective support at this critical time to win the battle and the war.

We rather need to identify our collective enemies. We must realise that the developing countries of the world, like India, China, Singapore, Rwanda, Brazil, Iran amongst others successfully broke away from the shackles of the global sharks and vultures passed through hell before they finally escaped.

Nigeria shall equally escape their grip and exit the hell of the drug, health, energy and oil mafias. The local enemies aren’t relenting, just like the rent seekers and container economists, they readily connive with the external enemies, available to sell their father’s house for a pot of porridge. Unfortunately, many innocent Nigerians are bewitched by the fifth columnists, joining them to drag their leaders from the rear, picking on non-issues, such as the unfounded procurement of presidential aircraft, to cause distractions within the polity.

Tinubu is a renowned freedom fighter who has supported many just causes against the military, and oppressive and unjust rulers in the past. He is a political juggernaut of note, an uncommon democrat, a courageous fighter, a defender of human rights, and a friend of the youth and the masses. If Nigeria finds such a man in the driver’s seat, the only thing to do is to put on our thinking cap and support the President to succeed.

The question to ask is, why will a man of such pedigree decide to inflict punishment on his people? And why will his deputy, a man who dared and fought Boko Haram to a standstill as a governor be facing festering insecurity, now that he finds himself in the presidency.

Vice President Kashim Shettima is a renowned freedom but dogged fighter with untainted records in Borno. He needs all our support at this time.

Tinubu and his team are sweating it out under the air conditioner to ensure both the public and the private refineries work for the people, but the principalities that have since ensured the refineries did not work for decades are still very potent at work.
Nigerians should stop cursing their country and their leaders.

They should stop destroying their images and goodwill, they should refrain from joining the nation’s enemies to cripple the country. If at the end of the day, you do not see the dividends of democracy, wait for them in the coming election, they will surely come back to you and ask for reelection, and then you can vote them out.

Let’s be positive in thinking, in reasoning, in our expectations. The sacrifices being made are huge. Undoubtedly, Nigerians are probably going through the toughest time in history. We will surely live to reap the fruits of our sacrifices. With every hardship, there is ease. And at the end of every tunnel, there is light.

It’s no child’s play to successfully uproot the principalities that have held us down for centuries. Those who took us through the crucible of the ears of slave trade, colonialism and neo-colonialism surely won’t let go easily. These are undeniable facts.

Many Nigerians who supported Mr. Tinubu for the presidency and were convinced he would deliver good cannot afford to back out now. It’s too early in the day. Opposition too needs to be patient. We must see things beyond party lines.

It’s the same Tinubu, who against all odds and opposition from the federal government, that broke the barriers and built contemporary Lagos to become the fifth-largest economy in Africa. Let us endure more. We are closer to the destination. Victory is sure by God’s grace.
