Yorubaa: it’s Time to Wake Up and Sanitise Our Land – Alawuje
The 2023 general election was indeed an eye-opener for the Yorubas to know how to love themselves and live beyond religious sentiment. While Atiku and Obi overwhelmingly won across their regions despite their manifest inadequacies, only the Southwest decided to be “objective” and shared the votes – with LP winning Lagos State and PDP winning Osun State.
This mistake must be corrected in our land, and it’s time to stop doing things based on sentiment in Yoruba land if we must be truly liberated, culturally, politically, morally and socially.
The Yoruba Welfare Group is not unaware that some unscrupulous Yorubas, under the guise of religion, have started holding meetings with the leadership of a religious group as well as the leadership of the Igbos at the expense of the overall interest of the Yoruba.
What is actually happening to Omo Kaaro Oojire which has all kinds of world claas technocrats and astute politicians across our land? Why do we always destroy our own? Why do we always work against our own? Why do we always connive with outsiders to destroy our great sons and daughters under the guise of religious sentiment and regional loyalty?
A stop must be put to this ugly development. We must sanitise our land and sanitation will soon begin across the Yoruba land.
