A woman in China, identified only by her surname Liu, has sparked debate after bequeathing her entire $2.8 million fortune to her cats and dogs, leaving her three children with nothing

According to reports, Ms. Liu initially included her children in her will, drafted a few years ago. However, she recently decided to amend it, removing them entirely and designating her beloved pets as the sole beneficiaries.

This drastic change reportedly stems from Ms. Liu’s feelings of neglect from her children, particularly during her illness. She claims they rarely contacted her and offered minimal support.

The amended will reportedly directs that all of Ms. Liu’s assets be used to care for her current pets and any future offspring they may have. A local veterinary clinic has been appointed as the administrator of the inheritance, responsible for ensuring the animals’ well-being and managing the funds allocated to their care.

While some people commend Ms. Liu’s decision to prioritize the animals who provided her companionship and emotional support, others criticize it as an act of defiance against her children, regardless of their actions.
