Tinubu’s One Year in Office: Laying Solid Foundation for a New Nigeria

Tinubu’s One Year in Office: Laying Solid Foundation for a New Nigeria

The National Coordinator of the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ) Comrade AbdulHakeem Adegoke Alawuje has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his one-year anniversary in office, even as he urged Nigerians to support the President as he struggles to lay an enduring foundation for the nation’s growth and steady development.

He said this on Wednesday while assessing the first anniversary of the President.

In a press statement released by his Media Adviser, Elder Yinka Salaam, Alawuje urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu as he takes painful but brave decisions to reposition Nigeria.

The press statement reads in part:
“Laying the foundation of any solid structure is not always easy. It involves strenuous and arduous tasks of breaking the ground, piercing the hard rocks, and sinking a lot of effort and resources that may never be appreciated in a short while. It often takes long before the structure becomes noticeable and before many begin to notice the effort.

“More often than not, the effort of the painter, plasterer, tiler, plumber, interior decorators and the like are more appreciated than the surveyor, the architect, the structure engineer, the quantity surveyor and the man who dug the ground and laid the foundation.

“Such a the case of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Just as he did in the birth of the modern Lagos, he is equally laying the foundation of a well-deserved New Nigeria.
“Congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Congratulations to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Congratulations to Nigerians. As DOJ, we are convinced that Tinubu means well for Nigerians.

“Tinubu’s one year in office should be likened to a case of demolition of a bad structure on one hand and the beginning of a new one on the other.

“We need to realise that the present wound being dressed and injuries being nursed by President Tinubu’s administration were not caused by him or his administration, the previous governments were rather covering the otherwise odious wound for Nigerians, to avoid offensive odour in the public. They were only window-dressing the crisis.
“Alas, Tinubu’s offence was that his government dared to open the wound to the public and started giving it the real but painful treatment to stop Nigerians from living a fake life.

“No doctor gives injection to inflict pains on the patient but to get healing ultimately.
“Thus, Tinubu is a doctor who gives injections for the purpose of healing. He remains a tailor that pieces the clothes to repackage, as a designer, for the owner. He is a builder who understands the pains Nigerians must pass through before a beautiful mansion (Nigeria) is erected.
“I am proud to be a Nigerian with Tinubu as president. I am proud to have a father who knows what the children need for the betterment of their lives and future. He understands the sacrifices we must make together for the future of our children.
“Despite the push of the opposition to cause protest against the builder, Nigerians know there must be pains before gain. They choose to endure with the Tinubu government.

“On this day, DOJ salutes the courage, patience, tolerance and sacrifices of Nigerians in the past year of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in office. We are Nigerians as well and we also experience hardship together.

“It’s not easy to bind the dry leaves of a nation like Nigeria together to redirect it to the right direction without losing out some of its components, but Tinubu has indeed succeeded in demolishing the faulty foundation and laid a new one for the structure Nigeria truly deserves.
“Without a doubt, previous presidents like Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari made frantic efforts to apply similar therapy, but they lacked the goodwill, the political will, the courage, and the boldness of Timubu. Above all, they were afraid of political backlash and the fear of losing a reelection into office.

“Tinubu took the uncommon risk because he believes in facing reality and getting results, relying on his political sagacity, the Renewed Hope Agenda, posterity and trust in the Almighty.

“May Almighty God assist him.
“God bless Nigeria
God bless Nigerians
God bless Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
