One of the pioneer support groups that worked for the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the last general elections, Disciples of Jagaban, DOJ, had advised the opposition parties and all their sympathisers to stop pretending as if they did not notice the giant strides being initiated by the Nigerian President to bring back the country from the cloaks of security and socio-economic woes it had long been plunged into by successive administrations before him.
The National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje made this disclosure while fielding questions from newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday.
Nigerians need to start feeling the essence of a renew of tenure of Mr President as he navigates his first tenure in office.
Mr President has succeeded in putting some developmental processes on automatic movement for Nigeria and Nigerians, to protect and monitor wonderful initiatives.
It is always better to strengthen institutions by making them outlive the initiators for the better of all. Mr President is putting in place this monumental developmental strides so that with him or without him, Nigeria would be on the right track.
This may demand more years above the first four years in the office.
So far so good, even the opposition parties can testify that there’s going to be great achievement in the initiative processes of Mr President. In essence, Mr President really knows what it takes to rescue a country like Nigeria.
According to him, President Tinubu started well with the appointments of some people of integrity who had hit the ground running, reducing incidents of terror attacks, kidnappings and other threats to national security. Their efforts so far, according to him, had dwarfed whatever could have been the success stories of the past regimes in that respect.
Alawuje went further to say that “the relentless efforts of Mr President in wooing investors across the world has started yielding positive results, as giants in the global energy system and mining industry had signed a number of memorandum of understandings with relevant ministries, departments and agencies of the government to boost Nigeria’s electricity generation, transmission and distribution, which undoubtedly would have positive effects on the Nigerian economy, which is now well programmed for diversification. By the time exploration of lithium and other natural resources begin, the Nigerian economy would breathe fresh air and the Nigerian people would be proud of their dear country again.”
“It is now left for the opposition to have a change of heart by starting to support the present administration, stop throwing lies around and desist from further blackmail of the government. All hands must be deck to ensure quick delivery of dividends of democracy to the Nigerian masses.”
“With the pace at which this administration is pursuing its transformation agenda, 2027 is a done deal,” Alawuje stylishly launched the second term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
